Proven and reliable main variety.
Pilgrim is quite early in setting and ripeness, the fruits weigh around 1.5-2 kg, there are no bursts.
Pilgrim stores well. The number of fruits of first quality is above average and so Pilgrim has established itself as a top performer in our cultivation. We recommend pre-cultivation and planting for a fully ripe harvest.
Ripening time: 95 days.
Moderate vining behavior.
Cucurbita moschata require a lot of heat and is therefore better to be pre-cultivated. Varieties with a ripening time of up to 110 days also thrive in cold regions.
Optimum germination at 24-30o C. When sowing stick the pointed side of the seed down or lay them flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place in a brighter and cooler place.
For Pilgrim F1 we ​​recommend 1-2 square meters of space per plant.
