Cucurbita moschata Sweetmax F1

Cucurbita moschata Sweetmax F1

Early, high-yielding butternut.

This variety comes from British breeding and anyone who knows the British summer knows that this butternut also thrives in Central Europe.

At 2-3 kg, this variety is quite large and the yield is early and good. This variety was named after the size of the fruit as well as the very good flesh. Early ripening butternuts are also better cultivated with pre-cultivation and planting in a warm place. The more heat the fruit gets, the better its taste becomes.

Ripening time: 90 days.

Sweetmax F1 vines moderately.

Cucurbita moschata require a lot of heat and is therefore better to be pre-cultivated. Varieties with a ripening time of up to 110 days also thrive in cold regions.

Optimum germination at 24-30o C. When sowing stick the pointed side of the seed down or lay them flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place in a brighter and cooler place.

For Sweetmax F1 we recommend 1-2 square meters per plant.

Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, lice, powdery mildew, virus.
