Cucurbita moschata Toledo F1

Cucurbita moschata Toledo F1

Household-sized nutmeg squash that ripens well.

Uniform, smaller nutmeg pumpkin with a light skin, around 1.5 kg in weight, good, orange-colored flesh, reliable yield.

Moderately climbing. Should be pre-cultivated and planted. Nutmeg pumpkins require one warm location.

Ripe when the color begins to turn light brown or, as is usual with nutmeg pumpkins, when the white patina appears on the skin. Nutmeg pumpkins can be harvested at the beginning of ripening in a room with around 20 ° C and ripened within 3 to 5 weeks and will change color to full ripeness without any problems. The quality of the meat also improves here.

Ripening time: 100-110 days.

Toledo F1 is trailing moderately.

Cucurbita moschata require a lot of heat and is therefore better to be pre-cultivated. Varieties with a ripening time of up to 110 days also thrive in cold regions.

Optimum germination at 24-30o C. When sowing stick the pointed side of the seed down or lay them flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place in a brighter and cooler place.

For Toledo F1 we recommend 1-2 square meters per plant.

Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, lice, powdery mildew, virus.
