Cucurbita pepo Fort Knox F1 PMT
Very nice and stable little pumpkin.
Round, deep orange colored smaller Halloween pumpkin weighing between 2.5 and 3 kg. Balanced shape, very nice and stable stem.
The plants grow healthily and climb moderately with a yield of around 3-4 fruits per plant. This variety is very tolerant to powdery mildew.
The variety is suitable for consumption, for example in pumpkin soup.
Ripening time: 90 days.
Fort Knox F1 PMT ranks moderately.
C. pepo grows well on warm, well-drained soils, pre-cultivation and planting with sowing from the end of April or direct sowing from the beginning of May.
Optimum germination at 24-30o C. When sowing stick the pointed side of the seed down or lay them flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place in a brighter and cooler place.
For Fort Knox F1 PMT we recommend around 1-2 square meters per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, lice, powdery mildew, virus.
