Echinops bannaticus Blue Glow

Echinops bannaticus Blue Glow

Commonly known as Globe Thistle. A perennial plant with spherical blue flower heads and spiny, silver-green foliage.

The distinctive, globe-shaped flower heads, which are typically around 3 to 5 cm in diameter, are composed of tiny, densely packed tubular flowers that create a spiky, ball-like appearance. The flowers are a deep, metallic blue, giving them a glowing effect in sunlight.

The foliage consists of deeply lobed, spiny leaves that are silvery-green in color. The leaves have a coarse texture, with sharp, thistle-like edges, adding to the plant’s rugged appeal.

The globe-like flowers make excellent cut flowers, both fresh and dried. They retain their color well when dried, making them popular for floral arrangements and crafts.

Height: 100 cm.
