Hypericum perforatum (St. John’s wort)

A yellow-flowering herb with long, slender stems and perforated leaves.

It is widely used in herbal medicine for its antidepressant properties, thanks to compounds like hypericin and hyperforin.

Traditionally, it’s also applied for wound healing, inflammation, and mild anxiety, making it a versatile herbal remedy.

Medicinal compounds of the flowers are extracted by macerating these in luke warm oil.

Also a good border plant.
