Lagenaria siceraria Australian Warted

Lagenaria siceraria Australian Warted

Australian warted is as the name suggests a warted calabash of Australian origin.

The teardrop-shaped fruits, about 20 cm high, are light green and slightly warped.

The ripening time is around 110 days.

Australian warted ranks strongly.

Australian warted is not suitable for consumption.

Calabashes grow well on warm, well-drained soils.

Pre-cultivation and planting with sowing from the end of April gives good results, or direct sowing from the beginning of May.

We recommend around 2-3 square meters per plant as space requirements.

Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, lice, powdery mildew, virus.

Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
