Limonium latifolium

Limonium latifolium

Commonly known as Sea Lavender or Broad-Leaved Statice, is a perennial herbaceous plant. It is admired for its delicate, cloud-like flowers and adaptability to challenging growing conditions.

The plant produces small, papery flowers in shades of lavender-blue to light purple. The flowers are borne on wiry, branched stems, creating airy, open sprays that resemble a fine mist of color.  The basal leaves are broad, leathery, and glossy green, with an oblong to lanceolate shape. They form a low-growing rosette close to the ground. The flowering stems are long, slender, and slightly woody at the base, rising above the foliage.

Low-maintenance plant requiring little more than occasional deadheading to encourage blooming and tidying up.
