There and also in Asia, the young fruits are prepared and eaten like cucumbers.

As the fruits begin to ripen, they become bitter. When fully ripe, the fruits burst open and release the seeds.

Known in Asia as a side dish, overdose leads to stomach and intestinal problems and other consequences.

The plants grow best on a trellis.

Sowing with pre-culture from the end of February.

Planting in a greenhouse or outdoors from May.
