Panicum virgatum Fontaine

Panicum virgatum Fontaine

Panicum Fontaine is an elegant ornamental grass, recognisable by its airy panicles that fan out like a fountain.

Hanging clusters of small, purple-green spikelets and upright green leaves that turn yellow in autumn and light brown in winter.

Prefers fairly fertile, well-drained soil.

Beautiful in small sunny borders.

Plant Fontaine early in the spring until midsummer, for a harvest 8 to 16 weeks later.

Due to excellent basal branching, you will harvest many branches per plant.

Because of its sturdy long stems with fresh green leaves and excellent vase life, Fontaine is very good to use as a bouquet filler or as a playful ingredient in arrangements.

Height: 60-80 cm (24-32″).

Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
