Phaseolus vulgaris (Green bean) Red Swan
Attractive, pink colored compact variety without threads.
An old American country variety with very special properties. The white-pink colored flower is already unique. The pink-red pods, about 10 – 12 cm long, are very tasty and turn a dark green when cooked. The pods are threadless, the plant only grows to around 50 cm high and is also suitable for correspondingly large pots. The pink flowers are also beautiful to look at.
Sowing date: From the beginning of April with pre-culture, direct sowing from May to July. Row sowing 40 x 8-10 cm, sowing depth 1-2 cm, for dibbling seeding 40 x 30 cm, plant 4-5 seeds. Harvest period: From July to early October.
Fertilization generally not required. Avoid waterlogging and damp tillage. Later piling up is recommended.
Supplied as raw (normal) seed in grams.
