Pisum sativum (Sugar pea) Hendriks BIO

Pisum sativum (Sugar pea) Hendriks BIO

Famous sweet pea, also known by its German name Early Heinrich.

In the case of sugar peas, the young, tender pods are eaten before the grain fully forms. Very delicate, good-tasting vegetables.

Hendriks reaches a height of over 80 cm and needs to be supported.

Sugar peas should be harvested continuously to ensure a rich harvest. If you let the pods hang until they are fully ripe, you can also harvest them as marsh peas.

Sow thinly in rows from the beginning of April to mid-June in a sunny location, 30-40 cm apart between the rows and 4-5 cm apart in the row.

Hendriks generally does not require any additional fertilization.

Good in mixed culture with cabbage, radish and early potatoes. Do not cultivate together with onions.

Supplied as raw (normal) seed in grams.
Approximately 6-7 seeds per gram.
