Pisum sativum (Sugar pea) Sweet Salome

Pisum sativum (Sugar pea) Sweet Salome

Delicate, large-bodied, climbing.

This climbing sweet pea is a novelty and something special. The light green pods are very tasty and also quite large at 9 cm long.

Grows best on a fence or trellis; poles can also be useful as a climbing aid.

The pods can be harvested just 60-70 days after sowing. The flower is rose-pink and also attractive.

Sugar peas should be harvested continuously to ensure a rich harvest. If you let the pods hang until they are fully ripe, you can also harvest them as marsh peas.

The seeds are sown thinly in rows from the beginning of April to the beginning of June in a sunny location, about 4-5 cm in the row, height 150-200 cm, perfect on a trellis or fence.

Does not require any extra fertilization.

Good in mixed culture with cabbage, radish and early potatoes. Do not cultivate together with onions.

Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
