Rosemary (new name Salvia rosmarinus) is a fragrant evergreen herb native to the Mediterranean region. A woody, perennial shrub. The flowers are small, tubular, and usually pale blue or lavender.

It is widely cultivated for its aromatic leaves and is valued for culinary, medicinal, and ornamental purposes.

he leaves of rosemary are narrow, needle-like, and about 2-4 cm long. They are dark green on top with a silvery-white underside. The leaves are highly aromatic, releasing a strong, pine-like fragrance when crushed.
