Satureja hortensis (Summer savory) Pikanta
Pikanta is a compact variety.
The herb is used to season and refine salads, sauces and stews.
Savory keeps lice away from beans, so always plant near the beans.
Sow under glass all year round, outdoors as direct sow from April to June, 4-5 grains at a distance of 25 x 30 cm. The germination period is approx. 18 to 24 days at 15 to 20 °C . Harvest from March to December depending on the culture.
Do not cover the seeds as light is beneficial for gemination (light-germinator). Consistant moisture levels are important.
Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
