Ornamental grass with attractive panicles which are used for cutting. The slightly hanging thick millet ears initially have a light green color, nice for bouquets.

The lanceolate leaf is quite wide. Due to its low height (70 cm), this species is also very popular as a garden plant. The birds love it in the fall! Then they have now matured beige brown.
