A very effective and deep rooting Tagetes (Marigold) for combating nematodes.

This species has been selected for extensive leaf development and therefore deep and broad roots.

The flowers are beautiful, but not the most important: shades of yellow, orange and brown-red.

In addition to tackling nematodes, Nema promotes organic matter supply and improvement of the soil structure.

Marigold roots release a chemical, a very toxic compound, once a plant is infected by nematodes (Pratylenchus penetrans).

This compound is nematicidal, which can aid in the reduction of  nematodes (and other disease promoting organisms).

Nematodes that do not penetrate the roots, such as cyst nematodes, root-knot nematodes and stem nematodes, are therefore not killed.
