Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Andenhorn
Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Andenhorn
Famous pepper-shaped ‘stick’ tomato.
The tomato comes from South America and produces pepper-shaped, firm-fleshed tomatoes with a few seeds.
The fruits are very tasty and easy to cut.
Because of the medium-late ripening period, the Andenhorn needs a preferred, sunny and warm place.
Protected cultivation in a greenhouse or a roof is recommended.
Sow at 20-25° C from February to the end of March, then pre-cultivate from February to April, plant outdoors after the last frost. The harvest takes place from the end of July to September.
Tomatoes love sunny and wind-protected locations. The soil should be loose, humus-rich and nutrient-rich.
Tomato plants have high water needs. Never water the plants with tap-cold water. The water should at least be at room temperature. Always ensure that the leaves remain dry so that tomato rot has less chance.
Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
