Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Maskotka

Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Maskotka

Bred for hanging baskets, pots and balconies.

Maskotka is a compact, very well-branched red cherry tomato that is ideal for hanging baskets, balcony boxes and larger pots. The red cherry-sized fruits are produced in large numbers and are excellent snacks, straight from the plant to the mouth. A very decorative alternative to hanging baskets.

Sow at 20-25° C from February to the end of March, then pre-cultivate from February to April, plant outdoors after the last frost. The harvest takes place from the end of July to September

Tomatoes love sunny and wind-protected locations. The soil should be loose, humus-rich and nutrient-rich.

Tomato plants have high water needs. Never water the plants with tap-cold water. The water should at least be at room temperature. Always ensure that the leaves remain dry so that tomato rot has less chance.
