Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Spencer

Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Spencer

Proven vine tomato.

Spencer is a vine tomato with excellent properties. The individual fruits weigh around 30 grams, the panicles ripen very closed, so that the whole panicle can be harvested. The fruits are burst-resistant and have a good taste.

Spencer thrives both outdoors and in the greenhouse. Numerous resistances to Fusarium and viral diseases enable successful culture.

Sow at 20-25° C from February to the end of March, then pre-cultivate from February to April, plant outdoors after the last frost. The harvest takes place from the end of July to September

Tomatoes love sunny and wind-protected locations. The soil should be loose, humus-rich and nutrient-rich.

Tomato plants have high water needs. Never water the plants with tap-cold water. The water should at least be at room temperature. Always ensure that the leaves remain dry so that tomato rot has less chance.
