Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Tigerella

Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Tigerella

Hardy, very popular tomato.

Tigerella is a typical tomato size with a diameter of 5-6 cm. The red fruits are striped, but the stripes disappear when fully ripe. The taste is very good, suitable for salads or as a snack.

Tigerella is an English hybrid that has been popular for many years because of its resistance to late blight and brown blight.

Sow at 20-25° C from February to the end of March, then pre-cultivate from February to April, plant outdoors after the last frost. The harvest takes place from the end of July to September.

Tomatoes love sunny and wind-protected locations. The soil should be loose, humus-rich and nutrient-rich.

Tomato plants have high water needs. Never water the plants with tap-cold water. The water should at least be at room temperature. Always ensure that the leaves remain dry so that tomato rot has less chance.
