Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Voyage BIO
Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Voyage BIO
The Voyage tomato is a real rarity with a special fruit shape.
The fruits of the tomato (originating from Germany, where they are called “Reisetomate”) have several fruit “chambers”. Without great effort and mess, these can be taken apart.
This variety is a tasty oddity among tomatoes, a historical rarity. Actually a beef tomato, the dark red fruits are divided into pieces.
Voyage has a good yield and also grows well outdoors.
The taste is good, tomato-spicy with a subtle acidic note.
Sow at 20-25° C from February to the end of March, then pre-cultivate from February to April, plant outdoors after the last frost. The harvest takes place from the end of July to October.
Tomatoes love sunny and wind-protected locations. The soil should be loose, humus-rich and nutrient-rich.
Tomato plants have high water needs. Never water the plants with tap-cold water. The water should at least be at room temperature. Always ensure that the leaves remain dry so that tomato rot has less chance.
Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
