Zucchini (Courgette)

Zucchini, also known as courgette, is a popular summer squash renowned for its tender texture and mild flavor, making it a staple in many culinary dishes.
Typically harvested when they are 15-20 cm in length, though they can grow much larger if left on the vine.
Zucchini or courgette plants produce long, cylindrical fruits with smooth, tender skin. They are known for their rapid growth and high yields, providing a continuous harvest throughout the growing season.
They require ample space to spread out.
Harvest Time approximately 50-60 days from sowing.
Zucchini thrives in full sun with well-drained, fertile soil. Requires consistent moisture for optimal growth.
If starting seeds indoors, transplant seedlings when they have at least two true leaves and the danger of frost has passed. Direct sow seeds outdoors after the last frost date when the soil temperature is at least 18°C.

Plant seeds 60-90 cm apart in rows that are 90-120 cm apart. Zucchini plants have both male and female flowers and are pollinated by insects. Encourage pollinators by planting flowers nearby.
